Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn how to update each website to keep content and imagery up to date
- Develop a press list, write and syndicate press releases
- Assist in content creation, management and content planning for all social media channels (Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok & LinkedIn)
- Capture video and photo content and edit for use across TikTok, Reels & YouTube Shorts
- Create graphics using Canva while upholding brand standards and keeping all designs organized
- Draft content for e-newsletters, drip campaigns, and other email marketing efforts using Mailchimp
- Write engaging blog/news posts for boating and wedding industry websites
- Provides additional support to the Marketing Manager as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience managing social media channels & creating content for a business is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Understands and can utilize digital platforms (Hootsuite, Mailchimp, WordPress)
- Proficiency in using MS Office and Google Drive programs
- Ability to manage details and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with the ability to employ good judgment, ask questions & learn new skills
Terms:
- Summer: May through August
- Desired Fields of Study: Marketing, Social Media, PR, and/or Advertising
- Hours Desired: 15–24 Hours per Week
- Flexible Schedule- Some Late Nights and Occasional Weekends
- Compensation Based on Experience
