Background & Experiences

One talk with Captain Tom and you can feel how much love he has for the fishing and boating community. This passion began as a child when his father bought him a 14-foot power boat as a reward for good schoolwork. To date he has owned more than 40 vessels from the 14-footer to a 44 Henriques and everything in between. He loves the “art of the deal” and loves sales.

Captain Tom spent much of his career in Sales & Marketing, working for ATT for over 30 years. He kept his fishing passion alive throughout his career, owning and operating a charter fishing business, called Fintastic Charters, for more than 30 years.

His roots are implanted deeply in the Clarks Landing family for 25 years. At one point in time, he had 2 charter boats docked here. His guests included hundreds of local fishermen, families and even celebrities.

Staying connected to the fishing and boating communities and being of service to others has always been a priority for Captain Tom. He’s written articles for the local fishing publications, is an active member of the Greater Point Pleasant Charter Boat Association (GPPCBA), the Stuart Florida Sailfish Club and was Rear Commodore of the Staten Island Yacht Club.
To give back to the fishing and boating communities Captain Tom hosts charity trips for local non-profit organizations like the ARC of Ocean County and says he loves seeing their members light up at the fishing and boating experiences.

Each April, he joins up with the Spring Lake Children’s Trout Tournament, helping over 300 children catch trout. “If I can teach a child something about boating or fishing it will make my day”, he says.

Originating from Staten Island, Captain Tom lives in Toms River with his family and is proud to have passed down his love for fishing and boating passion to his children and grandchildren. His son is an avid boater with a 38-foot Baja. His grandchildren are also boating and fishing-lovers; one caught a 450 lb. Bluefin tuna at the age of 14 and the other won his division at the Spring Lake Trout Tournament. His daughter, a dentist, has always been the best fisherman of them all!

Today, Captain Tom brings this robust background to the Clarks Landing sales team, specializing in inshore and offshore fishing boats. He has deep connections with the fishing and boating communities and willingly shares his knowledge of boat ownership to his clients.

He is an outstanding addition to the Clarks Landing Sales Team.
